Farming in ancient Rome

Farming in ancient Rome was the job of a slave. Farming back in those years used much more effort than farming of today, so people who weren't very important got the tiring job.

To turn the soil over a plough was used, but the plough was made out of a long stick pulled by an ox. Each seed was then planted by hand.
When fully grown and picked, the wheat wouldn't go through a single machine that went through a quick process to turn wheat into flour, the wheat had to be beaten, then tossed to remove the chaff, then dried, then ground, and finally it had to be transported. It took a lot of time compared to our speeds we work at today.
