Temperatures and plants

To the left is a climograph showing the rainfall and temperatures of Rome, a town in Italy. It also shows the latitude, longitude and altitude of Rome. This gives an idea of what the climate in ancient Rome might have been like.

In those conditions grain, olives and grapes were the most commonly grown crops.

There were also many different types of flowers that grew depending on the season. Many different types of trees scatter the land, too, and still do.
